EDT raises $2.4 million Pre-Series A from Sauce, enters beauty tech

Mumbai-based consumer technology brand EDT has raised $2.4 million in a Pre Series A round led by existing investor Sauce.

The round also saw participation from Alteria Capital, Raul Rai of Nicobar, Shibam Das and Arindam Paul of Atomberg, Ajith Pai of Delhivery and Anushree Tainwala of Samsonite. Existing angel investors also participated in the round.

Founded in 2025 by Naiyya Saggi and Vyasateja Rao, EDT currently offers kitchen appliances including the LUMA air fryer oven and FLOW kettle. Its products are available on Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Croma, FoodStories and its D2C platform. The company said its business on Amazon grew nearly seven times between March and July 2026.

EDT will use the funds to build inventory ahead of the festive season, launch new products and strengthen its growth, supply chain, brand and product teams.

The company has also entered the beauty tech segment with SUKI, a hair dryer based on its patent pending CareDry Algorithm. EDT said the device uses dual sensors to monitor hair and airflow conditions 100 times a second and adjust the heat accordingly.

SUKI is available at a limited time pre order price of Rs 8,499 through EDT's D2C platform. The company plans to expand its availability to marketplaces and retail stores later this year.

EDT said it has three more products in the pipeline across home, kitchen and beauty tech. The company plans to focus on R&D, product expansion, omnichannel distribution, community building and team expansion.
