E20 Investment EDAFA Venture Agritech Food Security MoU

UAE-based investment group E20 Investment has signed a memorandum of understanding with regional venture capital firm EDAFA Venture to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in agriculture, aquaculture, food security, and related technologies.
The agreement brings together E20 Investment’s expertise across the agribusiness value chain, including farm design and construction, agricultural production, processing, and distribution, with EDAFA Venture’s focus on investing in and supporting early-stage startups.
Under the memorandum, the two firms will explore cooperation opportunities with startups developing technologies and business models aimed at addressing challenges in agriculture and food.
Areas of interest span agritech, water and irrigation, sustainable agriculture, precision farming, post-harvest and cold-chain solutions, livestock, poultry and dairy, aquaculture, and food-security infrastructure.

The scope also extends to innovations in seeds and agricultural inputs, supply-chain and distribution technologies, and integrated agricultural and industrial solutions. The partnership is expected to facilitate efforts to translate innovations and emerging technologies into practical and scalable solutions.
Essam Aly, CEO of EDAFA Venture, invited startups from around the world operating in the relevant sectors to apply and benefit from the cooperation opportunities offered through the initiative. The two companies plan to open applications to startups on September 22.
“We also welcome innovations in seeds and agricultural inputs, supply chains and distribution, as well as integrated agricultural and industrial solutions that support the development of practical and scalable solutions for the agriculture and food-security sectors,” Aly added.
The cooperation is expected to help identify promising startups and assess opportunities to support them, developing their solutions into viable projects capable of scaling across regional markets.
