dubdub raises $1.3M seed round led by 3one4, Antler, Stellaris

dubdub, a swipe-based trivia and puzzle app, has raised $1.3 million in a seed funding round co-led by 3one4 Capital, Antler and Stellaris Venture Partners.

The fresh funds will be used to hire across product and engineering, add new interactive formats and deepen personalisation of its feed, dubdub said.

Launched in March this year by Kaustubh Priye and Supan Shah, dubdub is a trivia and puzzle platform that brings bite-sized questions, mini games and brain puzzles into a short-form, interactive format.

The app covers more than 20 categories, including cricket, Bollywood, general knowledge, pop culture, mythology and logical reasoning. It uses AI and user interactions to personalise challenges to each user's interests.

Users can also challenge friends and compare scores. Each swipe prompts them to answer, guess, solve, recognise, predict or compete.

dubdub aims to replace passive content consumption with questions and mini games.

The company claims to have crossed 20,000 downloads and reports early retention rates above the top percentile of casual games.

It plans to expand its product and engineering teams and introduce new interactive formats as it works towards building a broader interactive short-form entertainment platform.
