Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, Alibaba Cloud Agentic AI MoU

Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Alibaba Cloud to accelerate adoption of agentic AI among Dubai’s private sector companies. The MoU was signed at the Dubai Business Forum – China, organized by Dubai Chambers in Shenzhen.

Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, and Dr. Feifei Li, Chief Technology Officer and President of International Business at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, signed for the two sides.

The initiative aligns with directives from Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, to speed up agentic AI adoption across Dubai’s private sector.

The partnership is aimed at Dubai’s private sector companies, including startups and enterprises. Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy is one of the three chambers under Dubai Chambers.

Alibaba Cloud has operated in the UAE since 2016 and has launched two data centers in the country, providing cloud computing services to private companies and public institutions.

The partnership covers three areas: AI skills and capabilities, startup support, and help for businesses testing and implementing agentic AI.

• Skills: Dubai Chambers Academy will provide access to AI training content, certifications, technical workshops and expert-led sessions. The collaboration also includes train-the-trainer programs and educational resources.
• Startups: technical mentorship, technology credits, computing resources and software licenses. Selected companies will also have opportunities to access Alibaba Cloud’s programs and business network.
• Enterprises: technical expertise and implementation support for testing and deploying agentic AI solutions, plus a way to showcase applications through Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.

Alibaba Cloud Marketplace enables businesses to discover, test, purchase and deploy third-party software applications, data and cloud services.
