DeHaat Honest Farms raises Rs 35 Cr pre-Series A from OTP Ventures

DeHaat Honest Farms, the pesticide-free consumer food brand launched by agritech platform DeHaat, has raised Rs 35 crore in a pre-Series A round led by OTP Ventures. Sadev Capital and Maiuni Ventures also participated. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The company has simultaneously appointed DeHaat co-founder Adarsh J Srivastava as its Chief Executive Officer to lead the next phase of growth.

Honest Farms operates as a direct-to-consumer brand sourcing from DeHaat's ecosystem of over 13 million farmers. The company emphasises traceability and quality assurance — every pack undergoes more than 230 checks and ships with a pesticide-free certificate.

Its catalogue spans over 100 products across staples, superfoods, and everyday essentials, available in more than 3,000 retail stores across 120 cities, as well as on quick-commerce, e-commerce, and modern trade platforms.

Funding rounds and cross-border capital moves, one email, five minutes.

The fresh capital will fund geographic expansion, category-level awareness campaigns for pesticide-free produce, and new product development. The company is targeting an ARR of Rs 200 crore and a retail footprint exceeding 10,000 stores within the next 12 to 18 months.

For global buyers and supply-chain partners watching India's food sector, the deal signals that farm-to-fork traceability is moving from premium niche to mass retail. A brand built on a digitised farmer network with authenticated pesticide-free certification gives international procurement teams a compliance-ready sourcing story that few Indian consumer food startups can offer today.

For corridor-facing investors, Honest Farms represents a bet on India's ability to produce clean-label staples at scale — a category where Gulf importers face persistent residue-compliance challenges.
