Daksham Growth Ventures (DGV), the growth investment platform of wealth management group Daksham Capital, has raised Rs 125 crore in the first close of DGV Fund I, its maiden consumer-focused fund.

The fund is registered as a Category II Alternative Investment Fund with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). It targets a corpus of Rs 150 crore, with a greenshoe option of another Rs 150 crore that could take it to Rs 300 crore.

The first close was anchored by family offices, high-net-worth individuals, ultra-high-net-worth individuals and entrepreneurs. It came shortly after SEBI registration in October 2026.

Daksham Capital is a multi-family office and private wealth management group. It operates across family office advisory, investment solutions, global investing, legacy and succession planning, investment banking advisory and structured lending.

The group says its team has advised more than 600 client families and previously managed over $1 billion in assets. DGV is its dedicated platform for consumer and consumer-allied businesses with established business models.

DGV Fund I will invest primarily in pre-Series A and Series A companies across India’s consumer ecosystem. It plans to write cheques of Rs 5 crore to Rs 20 crore in businesses with product-market fit and sound unit economics.

It is looking at companies with annual recurring revenue of Rs 25-75 crore that could scale to Rs 300-500 crore in revenue. Its strategy spans four segments: direct-to-consumer brands, consumer enablers, B2B2C and supply chain businesses, and consumer-focused AI companies.

The fund is led by Shivam Diwan, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Daksham Growth Ventures.

“In Sanskrit, Daksha means capable. In Hindi, Daksham means first,” Diwan writes in a note on DGV’s website. “Our name is our method: we go back to first principles, and we bring the capability to act on them.”

The note says DGV invests “at the early-growth stage: past early-stage uncertainty, not yet late-stage, and ready for a step change.” It adds that the team believes “the next decade of consumption and brands will be shaped by consumers and start-ups working alongside AI, from discovery and personalisation to fulfilment, trust and credit.”

DGV’s investment committee includes Daksham Capital co-founders Saket Lakhotia, Group CEO, and Achin Bhardwaj, Joint CIO.

Beyond capital, DGV plans to support portfolio companies on governance, financial reporting, brand positioning, leadership development and distribution expansion. It will also offer board participation and access to industry networks.
