CtrlS Datacenters raises ₹250 crore from Nikhil Kamath, Sreeram Vanga
Hyperscale data centre operator CtrlS has raised ₹250 crore from Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath and entrepreneur Sreeram Reddy Vanga.
The capital will be used to support the Hyderabad-based firm’s infrastructure expansion and capacity build-out to meet growing demand from enterprises and hyperscalers.
Founded by Sridhar Pinnapureddy, CtrlS operates 19 data centres across nine markets in India, with more than 370 MW of capacity and 4.4 GW of projects at various stages of execution. The company is developing AI-ready and hyperscale infrastructure as it looks to cater to India’s growing digital infrastructure requirements.

In June, CtrlS secured ₹5,500 crore in debt financing to expand its AI-ready data centre infrastructure in Hyderabad.
“Every meaningful technology shift of the next decade, AI, cloud, and digital public infrastructure, runs on data centres . India is at an inflection point where the underlying infrastructure either keeps pace or becomes the bottleneck. CtrlS has spent years building the kind of depth that does not get assembled overnight. That is what made this an easy decision,” said Kamath, an investor and entrepreneur.
