Cradlewise raises $12M Series A for AI-powered smart crib
D2C smart crib startup Cradlewise has raised $12 Mn in a Series A round led by 3one4 Capital and Prudent Investment Management.
The San Francisco-headquartered startup, founded in 2019 by Radhika and Bharath Patil, manufactures an AI-enabled smart crib that detects when a baby begins stirring and automatically bounces the crib to help soothe the baby back to sleep. The crib connects to an app for remote monitoring, sleep tracking, and sleep-related insights, and learns a baby’s individual sleep patterns over time to personalise its response. Cradlewise’s products currently cater to children aged up to 24 months.
Cradlewise’s connected products have generated more than 75 Mn hours of sleep data. The startup uses the data to improve sleep detection, predict when a baby may stir, and personalise the experience. Its hardware and sensing systems are backed by patents.

The fresh capital will be used for growth, channel expansion, product R&D, and entry into new international markets. Cradlewise currently sells through its own website and ecommerce marketplaces, and plans to expand through offline retail stores, partnerships, and other channels.
The startup plans to expand its portfolio beyond cribs and develop sleep products for older children. Its roadmap includes software-led sleep routines, other child sleep hardware products, lower-priced entry points, and reusable sensing and electronics modules.
The round takes Cradlewise’s total funding raised to $26 Mn. Its investors include Sean O’Sullivan Ventures, Footwork VC, Charles River Ventures, 3one4 Capital, and Prudent Investment Management. Prior to this, Cradlewise raised $7 Mn in its seed funding round in 2021.
