CoreWeave India Data Centres: 240 MW in Navi Mumbai

The move

CoreWeave India data centres will use 240 megawatts of capacity at the Taloja campus of AdaniConneX Pvt. in Navi Mumbai. The AI cloud-computing provider’s first Indian data centres are slated to come online in mid-2028.

CoreWeave also has the option to double the capacity to 480 megawatts and is setting up an office in India. The investment is expected to total multiple billions of dollars over the lifetime of the project.

What CoreWeave does

CoreWeave is an AI cloud-computing provider. Its Indian facilities will use Nvidia Corp.’s latest Vera Rubin chips for tasks including training and running models, handling reasoning and powering AI agents.

AdaniConneX is a joint venture between the Adani Group and EdgeConneX. CoreWeave is based in Livingston, New Jersey, and has been expanding its geographical footprint to increase available capacity and better serve customers worldwide.

Company context

CoreWeave entered Asia through data centre projects in Indonesia announced in August. Its India expansion involves AdaniConneX, which is also involved in a major Indian data centre project for Alphabet Inc.’s Google.

CoreWeave said in August that it had around 4.2 gigawatts of contracted power. Chief Executive Officer Mike Intrator said last month that CoreWeave was “largely sold out” of capacity.
