Cent raises $15 million Series A led by Blume, South Park Commons

Preventive healthcare startup Cent has raised $15 million in a Series A round co-led by Blume Ventures and South Park Commons.
Individual investors Arun Sarin, Srinivas Narayanan, Sharath Narayana, Aprameya Radhakrishna and Krishan Sridhar also participated, founder Shashank ND said in a LinkedIn post. Cent has also acquired AI radiology platform Medsee.
Cent focuses on early disease detection through medical imaging, biomarkers and artificial intelligence. Its screening protocol combines full body MRI, low dose CT scans, DEXA, ECG, ECHO and over 100 biomarkers in a single session of around two hours.
The startup operates its own centres in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi NCR, alongside its earlier network of partner diagnostic labs. Shashank ND also co-founded healthcare platform Practo.
Over the past year, around 10,000 people have undergone screening through Cent's protocol. Of these, one in four had a finding that required medical attention, while one in 40 needed to consult a doctor immediately, the company said.

The fresh capital will be used to invest in hardware, AI and clinical research. Shashank said the acquisition of Medsee will strengthen Cent's AI capabilities.
The startup is looking to address the gap in India's healthcare system, where several noncommunicable diseases are diagnosed at advanced stages.
According to figures cited by Cent, India has an estimated 101 million people living with diabetes and 136 million with prediabetes, while around 315 million have hypertension.
Cent aims to conduct 10 million scans by 2035 and help save one million lives through early disease detection.
In September 2026, Practo elevated Shashank to managing director and executive chairman, while Jagnoor Singh was appointed CEO.
