Brandtech Group's Transformative Funding

  • Successful Series C Funding for Brandtech Group, raised $115 million with new and existing investors.

Brandtech Group, a digital-only marketing group and generative AI marketing firm based in New York, successfully raised $115 million in Series C funding The funding included new investors Fimalac and Nendolabs, as well as existing investors, Moose Partners and Bansk Group. 

In addition to the investment, The Brandtech Group has appointed Matthew Bucale, former CEO of Lazard International, as global chief financial officer.

At a valuation of $4 billion after this funding, the company plans to use the investment to transform the traditional advertising industry by leveraging AI for new marketing campaigns. David Jones founded You & Mr Jones in 2015 to enhance brand marketing efforts through technology. 

The company recently purchased Pencil, a commercial platform powered by genAI. Pencil advertising is reportedly ten times faster and twice as fast as a brand’s conventional advertising. Following the acquisition, Pencil introduced Pencil Pro, a world-class manufacturing tool. 

Its clients include Google, Microsoft, Unilever, LVMH, Morgan Stanley, Bayer, TikTok, Diageo, Reckitt and Renault-Nissan. David Jones, founder and CEO of BrandTech Group, responded to Sam Altman’s comment that AI handles most marketing tasks. While the traditional industry was suffering, Brandtech Group saw it as an opportunity. 

Their company was built on the belief that AI would change the business world. Gen AI will not only transform business but will also impact the entire business environment.

David Jones expressed interest in working with Matthieu to further enhance its position in the gen AI marketing space. He also thanked his co-founder Jean-Marc for his important support.
