Bounce partners with ONDC for EV last-mile delivery

Electric mobility company Bounce has partnered with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to bring its electric vehicle fleet onto India's open logistics network for last-mile delivery. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bounce will combine its electric mobility and fleet management capabilities with ONDC's Open Delivery Protocol, a framework that lets merchants connect to multiple logistics providers through a single integration.

Unlike traditional operators, Bounce handles both vehicle manufacturing and fleet operations in-house, giving it direct control over vehicle performance and operating costs.

Bounce currently supports more than 12,000 riders across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and the National Capital Region. The company expects that network to expand significantly as demand for EV-powered delivery grows.

For global logistics buyers and corridor investors watching India's digital commerce infrastructure, the partnership signals how the country's open-protocol model is lowering the barrier for specialized fleet operators to plug into national-scale demand.

"Instead of locking our riders inside a walled garden, we plug an entire manufacturer-to-gig-worker operation into an open network, and the fulfilment speed we're seeing is what happens when fleet expertise meets in-house manufacturing on open commerce," said Vivekananda Hallekere, CEO and Co-founder of Bounce.

ONDC's network already spans 50+ logistics service providers and 60,000+ merchants. Bounce adds a manufacturer-operator hybrid with a ready rider base and no walled-garden constraints, a configuration rare outside India's open-network experiment.
