Bessemer Venture Partners India appoints Mayank Khanduja

Bessemer Venture Partners has appointed Mayank Khanduja as Partner in its India practice. Based out of Bessemer’s Bengaluru office, Khanduja will focus on early stage investments in India, partnering with founders from their first institutional round onwards.
The appointment comes nearly nine months after Khanduja exited Elevation Capital, following a 15 year stint.
What Bessemer Venture Partners India does
Bessemer has been investing in India for over two decades. Its portfolio includes Medi Assist, Perfios, Swiggy and Urban Company, among others. Its recent investments include Sarvam, Boldfit, Vetic, Easebuzz, Inrisk and Pluro.
Khanduja brings 15 years of venture investing experience across consumer tech, gaming, healthcare, AI and deeptech. During his stint at Elevation Capital, he backed startups including ShareChat, NoBroker, PlaySimple Games, Jeh Aerospace, MOC Cancer Care, Loop Health, Atlys, Seekho, General Autonomy and PierSight.

Before joining Elevation, Khanduja worked with McKinsey.
In March 2025, Bessemer announced its second India fund with $350 million in capital, targeting sectors including AI, fintech, enterprise tech, health, consumer and cybersecurity. Globally, the firm recently raised $5.75 billion to invest across stages from seed to growth.
