Banarasi food brand Banaraswala has raised $2 million in a seed funding round from Prax Impex Private Limited.

The proceeds will go toward opening more outlets, developing new menu offerings, and growing the company's franchise network across India.

Banaraswala was founded by Vibhanshu Mishra and serves traditional Banarasi food, including sweets, chaats, and meals. It operates under the tagline "Ghat Se Ghar Tak."

The dining experience incorporates elements such as kulhads, pattal, and clay. The brand also sells through major food delivery platforms.
