• A proud Indian-made two-wheeler electric manufacturer located in Karnataka, India.
• Founded by Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain in 2013.
• It offers best-in-class acceleration, a 146 km certified range, a touchscreen dashboard, and a home charger.
Consider a sequence from the film 3 Idiots, which portrayed how engineering schools prioritize routine tasks over nurturing innovation.
Joy, a character in the film, takes his own life due to the criticism of his creative, yet unfinished drone model. Fast forward more than ten years and drones are now dominating the skies.
It is very important to give students many opportunities to show their creativity. Giving students ample opportunities to showcase their creativity is crucial.
However, if Indian universities prioritize timed assignments over fostering creativity, it will hinder the country's technological advancement.
Moreover, relying on foreign engineering skills undermines the talent that exists within our own nation. Relying on foreign engineering skills undermines the talent we have in our own country.
What is Ather Energy?

Innovations and products to share
Ather Energy recently launched the 450S, a sports scooter designed to compete in the 125cc equivalent category.
One of the most notable changes in this new model is the dashboard. Unlike the typical 4-5 inch 12-segment displays found in other scooters, Ather Energy has taken a different approach.
They have introduced India's first DeepView(TM) Display, which is a game-changer in terms of design and functionality. The 450S features a large 7-inch segment display, offering a much-improved contrast ratio that ensures true blacks instead of greys.
Additionally, the display boasts 18-segment characters, providing clear and crisp information to the rider. Another industry-first feature is the auto-brightness function, which adjusts the display's brightness according to the surrounding lighting conditions.
The 450S has a navigation system with multiple directions, which helps riders find their way easily, even in complex roundabouts.
Statistics and Growth
Ather Energy is leading in electric vehicles with new updates, setting higher standards for design and technology. According to recent statistics, the electric bike market in India has been experiencing significant growth. In 2020, India sold about 152,000 electric two-wheelers, demonstrating a growth of over 20% from the previous year.
The increasing demand for eco-friendly transportation options and government initiatives promoting electric mobility have been key factors driving this growth.
Experts expect that electric bike sales in India will increase in the future. This is because there is a growing awareness of environmental sustainability and the benefits of electric vehicles.
