Arab Therapy Raises $2M Pre-Series A for Arabic Mental Health

Arab Therapy, a Berlin-based digital mental health startup, has raised $2 million in a pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by Manara Ventures, with participation from Anara Impact Fund and Value Makers Studio (VMS). The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2021 by Jordanian entrepreneurs Dr Tareq Dalbah and Hekmat Al Hasi, Arab Therapy addresses a persistent structural gap: the scarcity of culturally and linguistically appropriate mental healthcare for the over 400 million Arabic speakers globally.

The platform does this through three pillars — online therapy sessions with licensed specialists, a mental health content library, and AI-powered tools — all delivered in Arabic. Its clinical framework is supervised by professionals from the University of Hamburg. The startup operates across both B2C and B2B models, serving individuals and corporate customers.

Funding rounds and cross-border capital moves, one email, five minutes.

For a global audience watching the India–Gulf corridor, the deal signals rising investor conviction in platforms that localize critical digital infrastructure — mental health, not logistics — for a demographic that Western solutions structurally underserve.

Arab Therapy’s immediate use of the capital to expand in Saudi Arabia reinforces that large Gulf markets are not just capital sources for healthtech; they are becoming primary deployment theatres.

The company previously closed a $1 million seed round in April 2024, led by Flat6Labs and Vision Health Pioneers.
