Amazon Now investment: Amazon plans $3B quick-commerce push

The Amazon Now investment targets India’s quick-commerce market
Amazon India reportedly plans to invest $3 Bn (₹28,790 Cr) in its quick-commerce business, Amazon Now, over the course of the next four years. Sources told Reuters that $1 Bn will be invested by the end of 2027, followed by an additional $2 Bn by 2030.
Amazon plans to use the capital to add dark stores, strengthen inventory management software, deploy AI tools for demand prediction and expand its product mix. The company plans to focus on daily essentials rather than iPhones, according to a source.

Amazon is also reportedly looking to expand its dark store network to around 1,300 stores by April 2027, from 750 currently. The company first launched Amazon Now in Bengaluru in June 2025, expanded to parts of Delhi in July 2025, and subsequently entered Mumbai.
