ALPHA10X Raises $5M Pre-Series A, Moves HQ to Doha

ALPHA10X, a predictive AI company for private markets, has raised $5 million in a Pre-Series A round led by GrowthX Capital.
GrowthX Capital was founded by Qatari investor Hamad Mubarak al-Hajri. The round was announced at a signing ceremony hosted by Qatar Chamber, as ALPHA10X relocates from France to Doha to set up its global headquarters.
The company has previously raised $20 million in seed funding. The new money will mainly go to product development and to improving the platform's predictive capabilities, and ALPHA10X also intends to link investment insights more closely to transaction execution and capital deployment.
ALPHA10X builds what it calls Decision Intelligence software for investors. It is meant to help private equity, venture capital and investment banking teams assess opportunities, weigh risks and make more consistent decisions.
Its platform runs on a proprietary reasoning system called ALPHAcodex, which connects investment evidence, predictive models and an institution's own decision-making rules. The aim is to make the reasoning behind a deal more transparent and measurable, while final decisions stay with investors.

Through a partnership with strategy consulting firm Kearney, the company says it has delivered more than 100 engagements across 11 countries, according to the announcement.
Founder and group chief executive Robert Marcus argues that investment decisions in private markets remain inefficient despite advances in technology. The company says its approach helps institutions identify assumptions, assess uncertainty and learn from past investment outcomes.
Marcus said the company plans to move staff to Doha, recruit locally and build a substantial regional presence. Al-Hajri tied the deal to Qatar National Vision 2030 and the country's shift toward a knowledge-based economy.
"We expect to have at least 50 very senior people in Doha by the end of next year," Marcus said.
