Allied Blenders shares rise after promoter sells 55 lakh shares

Allied Blenders shares rose over 6% on September 24, 2026, after co-promoter Bina Kishore Chhabria sold 55,00,000 shares to comply with minimum public shareholding requirements.
The shares were sold at ₹650.17 each and represented approximately 1.97% of Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited’s total equity. The transaction was disclosed to the BSE and NSE on September 22, ahead of a divestment window running from September 23 through October 31, 2026.
Before the transaction, the promoter and promoter group held 80.91% of the company, above the 75% ceiling for promoter holdings in listed companies under SEBI rules.

Allied Blenders shares draw institutional buyers
Abu Dhabi Investment Authority acquired 15,03,426 shares, representing 0.54% equity, at ₹650 per share. SBI Mutual Fund bought 34,00,725 shares, or 1.22% equity, at the same price.
The company’s stock traded at ₹697.05 at 1.30 pm, up ₹40.65, or 6.19%, from its previous close of ₹656.40. It reached an intraday high of ₹704.40.
